专题介绍
Life Optimizer is about living your life to the fullest. I believe many people (me included) live below their maximum potential. While they do achieve things in life, there are still many more they can achieve. The problem here is they do not optimize their life. There are aspects of their life which can be made better and more effective than they are now.
I got the idea about life optimization from my background in computer science. In computer science, people always try to optimize the computer’s resources. Whether it is about the time required to complete a task or about the memory space needed, people always try to achieve better and better results. Even minor inefficiency will be the subject of intensive research. In short, they always try to optimize everything.
I believe the same idea can also be applied to life. Of course, this is a never-ending journey. But through this journey, by optimizing our life along the way, I am sure we can live our life to the max.
About Me

My name is Donald Latumahina and I am an avid learner who have deep passion in information technology (IT) and personal development.
Since 1994 when I got my first computer, I have already “fallen in love” with computers. IT gives me huge opportunities to learn new thing after new thing which is very exciting for me. On the other hand, I also like organizational activities such as student body. Through these activities I can develop skills which I won’t get in the class such as management and interpersonal skill.
I believe that every person has huge potential which is commonly “underdeveloped”, and because of that, I am also very interested in personal development. Unleashing the full potential of me and others has become my ultimate goal.
After finishing my master degree in Singapore, I now work as an IT lecturer in Indonesia.
If you want to, you can read more about me at Eight Random Things About Me.

Note: This is a guest post from Mark Harrison of Thirty Days to Change Your Life Many years ago, I came across a book by Anthony de Mello called Awareness. De Mello was an Indian Jesuit priest whose writing was condemned by the Roman Catholic Church. To me, he is a great source of inspiration, and he has much to say about happiness and pain. Life is easy, life is delightful. Its only hard on your ...

In The Importance of Being Smart, I wrote how smart people can achieve much more – with much less effort – than those who just work hard. There’s a comment there by Frode that I’d like to discuss:… lazy people seem to be smarter, as they use a lot of brain energy on finding an easier way to do stuff. Interesting, isn’t it? Lazy people seem to be smarter. But I agree that thinking like lazy people ...

Note: This is a guest post from David Turnbull of Adventures of a Barefoot Geek I live in the future. No, this isnt a McFly-moment, its a always-have-my-thoughts-in-the-future moment. And its a problem.Living with your mind focused on the future causes you to miss out on the now and our lives are made out of moments of now, not of moments of the future. By living in the future you dont actually li...

Why is it necessary to give up? Because it allows you to focus your energy on the few things that are truly important. By giving up, you:Stop unfruitful effort. Whats the point of spending your time and energy on something th...

Note: This is a guest post from Douglas Cartwright of Living Words Recently, I was watching a television show about Dean Potter, an American ‘slack line walker’ who strings one-inch thick nylon ropes between high mountainous places and walks across them. Whilst that’s impressive, you might think “I’ve seen tightrope walkers before.” But Dean is different. He does it without a balancing pole, or a ...
