6月13日下午，清华大学高速铁路技术研究中心成立仪式举行，铁道部副总工程师兼运输局局长张曙光、教育部科技司司长谢焕忠与清华大学校长顾秉林院士共同为中心揭牌。
清华大学高速铁路技术研究中心简称“高铁中心”，英文名称Center for High-speed Railway Technology, Tsinghua University（缩写为CHRT），为非实体跨学科研究机构，挂靠工程物理系。中心将围绕高速铁路技术，整合和发展清华相关学科优势，重点研究我国未来高速铁路建设的战略规划问题、相关科学问题、先端技术问题，通过与企业合作实现重大技术集成和产品示范，为解决我国高速铁路跨越式发展提供战略支撑。
成立仪式由清华大学副校长、中心主任康克军主持。康克军介绍中心概况并宣读了清华大学校务会议关于成立中心的决定。中心管理委员会主任顾秉林为康克军和中心专家指导委员会主任张曙光颁发了聘书。成立仪式上还宣读了中心组织成员名单，并为专家指导委员会委员和中心领导成员代表颁发了聘书。

CHRT of Tsinghua University
The inauguration ceremony of the Center for High-speed Railway Technology, Tsinghua University was held on the 6 June afternoon, present were Ministry of Railway Deputy Chief Engineer and Secretary for Transport Mr. Zhang Shuguang, Ministry of Education Science and Technology Bureau Secretary Mr. Xie Huanzhong, and the President of Tsinghua University Academician Gu Binglin to jointly unveil the plaque for the Center.
The Center for High-speed Railway Technology, Tsinghua University (CHRT) is an intangible multidisciplinary research organization affiliated to the Department of Engineering Physics. It revolves around integrating and developing the advantages of the interrelated subjects of the University as well as the high speed railway technology, focusing on the research of issues relating to strategic planning, interrelated science and advanced technology for our future high speed railway facilities; and, with the cooperation of the enterprises, making the integration of technology and product an important example of a dream come true, in order to provide strategic support to the development of our country’s high speed spanning type railways.
The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Mr. Kang Kejun, Tsinghua University Vice-President and the Head of the Center. He briefed the audience on the Center and read out the decision of Tsinghua University school council meeting to form the Center. Mr. Gu Binglin, Chairman of the Center Administrative committee, presented appointment letters to Mr. Kang Kejun and Mr. Zhang Shuguang, Chairman of the Center Expertise Committee. The name list of the Center’s organizing members was also read out, and the members of the Expertise Committee were also presented with their appointment letters.
